The Veterans Dinner was held in the beginning of October with an excellent Dinner convened by Sue Halliday of the Ladies Auxiliary with some of the Legion members doing the serving. Let’s hope that all the Veterans that were in attendance will be there for next years Dinner.

Our Legion is now wheelchair accessible with the ramp and automatic door now functional. Grab bars have also been installed in both existing washrooms. This coming Spring we hope to start on the new wheelchair accessible washroom, providing that we can raise enough money to do it.

     A fund raising dance was held in November where we had the pleasure of T'HE FERNDALE FLATS entertaining us with a variety of music from the sixties on to the present. The Band did this at next to nothing – THANK YOU for doing that. The entry fee was done by donation, that raised over $600.00 for our project. We also received another donation from the Lioness Club of Lion’s Head in the sum of $1000.00. Thank you Lioness, this is the second donation they have made.

     We will be hosting the Grey Cup Game on November 25 starting at 5:00 p.m. We will also be serving Chili and Hamburgers later on in the evening, and the entry fee will be by donation again. Let us know if you are coming by calling Fred or Jean at 519-795-7823. You don’t have to be a Legion member and this applies also to Darts, Cards, etc. as well!

     Now coming to other entertainment at the Legion: Darts Mondays at 1:00 p.m., Cards and Darts Thursdays at 1:00 p.m., Darts for meat Saturday November 10th and 24th at 1:00 p.m., and Euchre every Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

     For other events see our Legion website. If I have the capability of accessing it then you can do it as well. All I can say is come out to our Legion and enjoy yourself.
