Veterans Dinner Guest Speaker Alex Ruff with video presentation.

October 1st 2019 was yet again a very successful meeting of the Lion's Head Legion to celebrate a dinner, in honor of our Branch Veteran Members.

Almost 50 Members and Guests enjoyed a sumptuous Roast Beef Dinner prepared, cooked and served by Legion and Auxiliary Ladies. The evening was highlighted by a Guest Speaker, fellow Legion Member from the Tara Legion, Alex Ruff, a Veteran of numerous campaigns, while serving with our Canadian Forces. His presentation was warmly received and followed by enthusiastic questions from the audience.

Second reminder, Remembrance Day will soon be upon us, please buy your new Poppy to support the memory of our fallen comrades. Please give serious thought to become a Legion member at your local Legion Branch, remember you do not need to be a Veteran, in reality, in our Branch, only 25% of our Membership are Veterans. Please reach out and talk to a Branch Member who will gladly inform you of all the wonderful activities and Charity work done by your local Branch.
