The Legion recently donated to the Lion’s Head District Peninsula School Public Speaking and OSAID, (Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving) Leadership Program from the 50/50 Lottery ticket program. The lottery has also supported many donations to the Salvation Army Food Bank, the Lion’s Head Food Bank, the Science and Technology Fair and a students’ trip to Europe to learn more about the contribution of the Canadian Military during World Wars I and II.

The Ladies Auxiliary donates to the Healthy Eating Program at the Lion’s Head District Peninsula School.

Congratulations go to the many students who prepared and delivered an informative speech on February 14th.

Veterans on the Bruce are encouraged to write a short story about their experiences for the Military Recognition Book. Contact your local Legion for more information. Consider becoming an active member of your local Legion.
Respectfully submitted by Sharron Colter,
