
The Lion’s Head Legion Branch 202 held its General Membership Meeting on Thursday, June 1st. The Three Draw Prize Lottery was held. Lucky winners were Debbie Dover of Pike Bay won $500.00, Tracy Moressa of St. Thomas won $400.00 and Shirley Smith of London won $300.00. Congratulations to the winners. Thank you to the purchasers of the lottery tickets. Proceeds will go towards the improvements at the Legion.
Monthly, there is a 50/50 Lottery draw at the Membership Meeting the first Thursday of each month. Tickets are $1.00 each and can be purchased at By the Bay in Pike Bay, at the Legion or from Don Colter, Lottery Chair.
Corn Hole will start at the Legion on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. except the first Thursday on July and August. You do not have to be a member to play.
On Thursday, July 6th, Aria Thomas will present her winning speech in the Legion Public Speaking Contest. Aria won at the School, Zone, District and Ontario Provincial levels. Members are welcome to attend to hear her speech at the Membership Meeting at 2:00 p.m.

President Richard Smith will be selling elimination tickets at the dinner to support the Youth Education Program for Zone C-4. The draw will take place on September 30th.
The Fish Fry serving white fish for $25.00 will be on Tuesday, August 15 at 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Call Wayne Morningstar at 519-592-5846 for Fish Fry tickets.
The Lion’s Head Legion welcomes new members. Membership forms are available online through Ontario Command or at the Legion.
The Old School House Seniors meet at the Legion the first Tuesday of month for a meeting and lunch and the last Tuesday of the month for dinner. New members are welcome. Phone Peter Jackson at 519-793-3589 for further information.
On June 17th the Bruce Men’s Shed members will compete in the cardboard boat races in Tobermory. For more information contact
