Lion’s Head Legion
Branch 202
It is election time at the Legion’s Meeting on Thursday, 2 May at 2:00 p.m. Members are encouraged to attend the elections. If any member is interested in a position on the executive let President Richard Smith know by e-mailing presbr202rcl@gmail.com. The Lion’s Head Legion needs a full executive to continue its work for Veterans and families in the community for 2024 - 2025.

President Richard Smith was recognized for his volunteer work at the Lion’s Head Legion as president for 5 years, the Poppy Campaign Chair for 12 years and the Honours and Awards Chair for 14 years. He was recognized by the Northern Bruce Peninsula Council and the Northern Bruce Peninsula Community Support Advisory Action Committee (NBPCSAAC) on 17 April 2024. Thank you, President Richard Smith for your dedication to the Lion’s Head Legion and its Veterans and community.

If you are interested in joining the Legion, contact membership Chair, Chris Mawdsley at branch202membership@gmail.com. Membership applications are available online.

There are members and Veterans that may need a visit or a card to let them know that we are thinking of them. Contact Nancy Alleyne, Veteran’s Service Officer and Seniors at br202vetsandseniors@gmail.com or phone 226-974-2505.

Wayne Morningstar, Sports Officer for the Legion has announced that Darts will end on Monday, 29 April. Stay tuned for the start-up of Corn Hole later in May.

The Legion hall continues to be open Monday morning for coffee and chat with the Bruce Men’s Shed. The Old School House Seniors meet on the first Tuesday for a meeting and a lunch. On the last Tuesday of the month they meet for dinner. Contact membership chair, Pat Howes at pathowes@hotmail.ca" for more information about the Old School House Seniors.

Hope to see you at the Lion’s Head Legion Branch 202 soon.
