President’s Report: Rick reported several upcoming dates. The Zone and District Conventions are in Port Elgin on March 23rd and April 12/13.
April 3, 2014 Elections – all members should attend the General Meeting and nominate and vote for the new Executive of the Legion. Be willing to commit time to your Legion by accepting a position on the Executive.
Joint Executive for the Branch and Ladies Auxiliary – April 22, 2014 at 10:00am.
May 20, 2014 – Installation of Officers, all members can attend the Pot Luck dinner and congratulate the newly elected Executive members for the Branch and the Ladies Auxiliary.
June 21, 2014 – Joint Annual Yard Sale for the Branch and Ladies Auxiliary – As you Spring clean set aside nearly new or gently used items for the upcoming yard sale. Friday June 20th is the drop off and set up date for the yard sale. Consider volunteering to help with the yard sale or the bake table.
We need more members to attend the General Meetings to ensure a quorum in order to carry out the business of the Legion and to make and pass motions. The next meeting is Thursday, April 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Legion. Hope to see you there.
Spring Fling Dance, Saturday April 19, 2014, 8:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Call Fred and Jean Van Tooren at 519-795-7823 or Jack and Jackie Seater at 519-793-4215 for tickets. There will be a DJ, light lunch and door prizes. Cost: $7.50 per person.

Meat Pies: The Ladies Auxiliary will be making meat pies on April 29th. Pre-order turkey, roast beef or hamburger pies for $3.00 each. Call Sharron Colter at 519-793-3473, Brenda Klerks at 519-793-4945 or Jean Shearer at 519-592-3021.
Bursary Funds: Available for young people attending college or university. Applications are due by Friday March 31, 2014.
