Presidents Report
Rick stated that it has been an honour and a privilege to serve as our President for the best
2 years. His heartfelt thanks goes out to his supporters.
Jean Shearer thanked Rick for his support of and working with the Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She presented a cheque for $2,000.00 from the LA to the Branch.

Installation of Officers
The newly elected Executives of the Branch and Ladies Auxiliary
were installed at the Legion on May 20, 2014 by the Zone and Deputy Zone Commanders.
There were 37 people in attendance. A delicious pot luck supper wasenjoyed by everyone.
Branch Executive Members will be appointed to committee positions in June.
The Legion Branch would like a volunteer to collect information about the history of the
Lions Head Legion. Let the Branch know if you are interested.
Motions
- The Legion members passed a motion to donate $600.00 to the Owen Sound Army Cadet
Corps #42 from the Poppy Fund with approval from Provincial Command. The Army Cadets
assisted at the Remembrance Day Services.
- The Legion Members passed a motion to proceed with the application process for a
Trillium Grant for the repairs of the East Wall of the Legion.
Upcoming Events
Legion Branch General Meeting Thursday June 5 2:00 p.m.
Ladies Auxiliary Meat Pies Wednesday June 18 pick up between 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Joint Yard Sale June 21, 2014 drop off gently used or nearly new items on June 20, 2014
(no large appliances, tvs or mattresses unless new)
Country Roast Beef Dinner July 2 5:00 p.m. Volunteers needed to help.
Fish Dinner August 6 5:00 p.m. Sue Halliday will convene the dinner.
