Upcoming Events:
- Legion Branch General Meeting – Thursday. December 4th at 2:00 p.m. Attend the meeting to hear about the issues that need your support at your legion. Hear more about the Legion’s stand toward the treatment of our veterans by the Conservative Government. Voice your opinion by contacting Larry Miller M.P. to let him know your thoughts about the Federal Government’s responsibility to take care of Canadian military veterans.
- Ladies Auxilliary Christmas Party – Tuesday, December 9th at 12:00 noon. Enjoy a pot luck lunch, a candy cane draw, a visit from Santa and sharing gifts. Ladies from the community are invited to attend. Bring your favourite dish, salad or dessert. If you would like to share a gift bring a wrapped gift with the value of $15.00 to $20.00.
- Euchre continues on Friday evenings in December. Euchre starts at 7:30 p.m. There will be no euchre on Friday, December 26th.
- Legion Branch and Ladies Auxiliary Joint Christmas Pot Luck Luncheon at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 18th. Join your comrades for a fun, social luncheon!!
- Darts and cards continue on Mondays and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m.

- Thank you to the community for the support given to the Ladies Auxiliary Bazaar. The Bazaar was a great success.
- The Lady Slippers, the Red Hat Ladies from Lion’s Head enjoyed a turkey luncheon at the Legion on November 20th. Thank you to Sue Halliday and the ladies in the kitchen who prepared the meal.
- Thanks to Fred and Jean Van Tooren for planning the Grey Cup Party on Sunday November 30th at 5:00 p.m. at the Legion. Everyone is welcome to attend.
This is a reminder that members who pay their Legion membership dues by November 30th are eligible for the draw for a free one year Legion Membership. The draw will take place on Thursday December 4, 2014.
Bursary Assistance Program applications are available for students who have parents or grandparents that are Legion Branch and Ladies Auxiliary members or ex-servicemen or serving members. Check online at
