Happy New Year!!
Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Hope to see you at the New Year’s Eve Dinner and Dance at the Legion sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. Social from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dinner served at 7:00 p.m. DJ for music and a light lunch at midnight. Tickets are $20.00 a person. Call 519-793-3473 to reserve a ticket. Several businesses have donated gift certificates for door prizes and spot dances.

The Lion’s Head Legion Executive is inviting members to become more involved with the running of the business of the Legion. Attend the next General Meeting on Thursday January 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. to learn more about the Legion. We want you to become more involved.

Lottery Updates:
Jean Thompson won $68.00 on the 50/50 Draw in December. Remember to buy your Lottery draw ticket at the Legion, Stokes Bay General Store or Marydales in Lion’s Head. The 50/50 Lottery raises money to give back to the community. In December donations of $100.00 was given to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Wiarton and $200.00 was given to the Lion’s Head Food Bank. This is just one way that you can support your Legion.

Dues Dues Dues
Dues for 2015 are now due. There is a cost to the Legion to operate. Your dues help cover these costs. Please renew your membership and pay your dues. Cheques should be made payable to RCL Branch 202.

After December 31st dues are $55.00. Thank you the members who have paid their dues. Fred VanTooren was the winner of the draw for a free one year membership. Congratulations Fred!!

The Legion is closely monitoring the treatment of the veterans by the Federal Government.

There will not be any Bridge at the Legion during the winter months. Bridge will be played on Fridays at the Friendship Club in Lion’s Head at 1:00 p.m. Bring a partner if you can.
Euchre at the Legion will continue on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. except Dec. 26th and Jan. 2nd.

Welcome Nancy Alleyne as the newly installed Sergeant-At-Arms and Chad Honeyman as our new chaplain.
