New Items for the Legion:
  1. A new fridge has arrived from Peninsula Appliances and it is set up in the bar.
  2. A new propane furnace has been delivered and will be installed and connected in the next few weeks. A contract will be signed with Sparlings Propane and a propane tank will be installed. The old oil tank and furnace will be disconnected and removed from the Legion.
  3. The Ladies Auxiliary has purchased a new microwave for the kitchen.
Veterans Services:

The Royal Canadian Legion, Ontario Command announced the relocation of The Windsor Service Bureau Office to London.

The Service Officer is Kim Dolan and the Service Bureau Secretary is Rebecca Calder.

Donations:
  1. The Legion Branch contributed $240.00 for Public Speaking at the Bruce Peninsula District School in Lion’s Head. Public Speaking was held on Tuesday February 17, 2015. Thank you to Kim White for organizing the event. Thank you to Daphne Richardson, Charon McLay, Sharon Hetherington and Sharron Colter for judging the speeches. First place winners in each of four grade levels will go on to the Zone level at Hepworth Shallow Lake Legion on Sunday March 1, 2015.
  2. The Legion donated $75.00 to the Technology and Science Fairs in Bruce County.
  3. The Legion donated $50.00 to Women’s House. There is second stage housing in Wiarton.
  4. Money was donated from the Poppy Fund for the Remembrance Poetry/Essay and Poster contest at the Bruce Peninsula District School. Thank you to Kim White for organizing and judging this event. A student from Lion’s Head School has won first for his poem that will be entered and judged at the Dominion Level. This is quite an honour for this student.

    Donations are possible through the 50/50 Lottery revenue. Buy your 50/50 ticket this month?

Upcoming Events:
  1. Ladies Auxiliary Meat Pies – Tuesday March 3rd. Pick up between 2:30 and 5:00 p.m.
  2. General Membership Meeting – Thursday March 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. You are invited!!
  3. Darts – Monday and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. – Come out and have some fun!!!
  4. Cribbage – Thursdays at 1:00 p.m.
  5. Darts for Meat – Saturday March 7th and 21st at 1:00 p.m.
  6. Ladies Auxiliary Cribbage Team will play in Galt on Saturday March 14, 2015.
  7. Euchre every Friday Night at 7:30 p.m.
