August Newsletter 2016
Hi Everyone,
I am into day 24 of healing after breaking my femur and having surgery to have a 21 cm rod inserted into my right leg. I want to thank the Legion and Ladies Auxiliary members and community members for their kind words of encouragement, thoughtful cards, and well wishes. Thank you to Brenda for the cold compresses and Ross for staying close by until the ambulance arrived. Thank you to my husband, Don for being my caretaker until I am independent again. I am able to sit at the computer in the wheelchair. One never knows when life throws a challenge to us to overcome.

August brings us the Fish Fry Dinner on Wednesday August 3, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Hope you are able to attend. Bring your neighbours, friends and family members. Order tickets from Kim White and Sherill Sear. Tickets can be held at the door for you. Remember that supporting your Legion is supporting your community. The special dinners in July and August help support the monthly expenses of the Lion’s Head Legion.

Check the website lionsheadlegionbranch202.ca for information about the Legion and a copy of the monthly event calendar.

Bridge will continue throughout August on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. Bring a partner. Euchre will resume in September.
