Membership dues are due.

Mail your dues to Lion’s Head Legion, PO Box 302, RC L Lion’s Head ON N0H 1W0.
Make cheques payable to “RCL Lion’s Head Legion Branch 202.” There will be a draw for a free membership in December for “Early Bird Membership” submissions. Dues are $50.00 After December 31st, membership dues will be $55.00.

Upcoming meetings:

1. Lion’s Head Legion Branch: Executive and General Meetings on the first Thursday of the month – Thursday November 8, 2018. Legion Executive Meeting at 1:15 p.m. Legion General Meeting at 2:00 p.m.
2. Ladies Auxiliary Meeting: Second Tuesday of the month – Tuesday November 13, 2018 Pot Luck at 12:00 p.m. Meeting at 1:30 p.m.

Special Events for November:

1. Poppy Campaign Canvassing on November 2nd and 3rd and 8th and 9th. Call Karen Winters at 519-793-4137 to volunteer to canvas. Volunteers are needed at Lion’s Head Hellyer’s Foodland and the LCBO. Choose a time on the schedule that works for you.
2. Remembrance Day Services: Thank you to Richard Smith, Wayne Morningstar, Karen Winters and Susan Uren as members on the Poppy Committee for the planning and organizing the Remembrance Day services and poppy canvassing. Services will be held at Monument Corners at 9:30 a.m. and Lion’s Head at 11:00 a.m. Members are asked to meet the Parade Marshall, Kim White at least 15 minutes before the services.
   Cadets from Owen Sound will be available to help lay wreaths at the services. The Legion Branch has donated $600.00 to the Owen Sound Cadet Corps for program support.

Upcoming Events:

1. Euchre every Friday night except November 16th for Ladies Auxiliary Bazaar set-up.
2. Legion Ladies Auxiliary Bazaar – Saturday November 17, 2018 More details yet to come.
3. Darts on Mondays and darts and cards on Thursdays.
4. Special Wheelchair Accessible Fundraiser Lottery Draw on Thursday December 6th at 4:00 p.m. First prize $1 000.00 and second prize $500.00. Tickets are still available. Call Fred Van Tooren at 519-795-7823 or Don Colter at 519-793-3473 for tickets to buy for and/or sell to family and friends. Each yellow ticket is $5.00. Only 1 500 tickets printed.
5. Ladies of the Community Christmas Pot Luck Luncheon on Tuesday December 11, 2018 At 12:00 p.m. sponsored by the Legion Ladies Auxiliary members.
