Next Meeting: Legion Branch General Meeting - Thursday February 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
Legion Ladies Auxiliary Meeting - Tuesday February 13, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.
Pot Luck Lunch and General Meeting at 1:30 p.m.

2018 Legion Membership: George Bowman, membership chairperson, on behalf of the Legion, would like to thank the members for submitting their 2018 Membership dues.

What is happening at the Legion?
  • The members are encouraged to attend the General Meetings to share ideas and learn about the activities at the Lion’s Head Legion. The Elections for the new executive will take place at the April General Meeting. Let a current executive member know if you are interested in standing for a position or helping on a committee.

  • Nancy Alleyne, Veteran Service Officer can be contacted at 519‑793‑4346. Nancy continues to work closely with our veterans as the need arises.

  • Guy Aubin, Seniors’ Chairperson can be reached 519‑793‑3472 for any sharing of senior information or if a sunshine call to a member is needed due to illness.

  • Youth Public Speaking at the Lion’s Head Bruce Peninsula District School will be held on Tuesday February 20th. A thank you goes to Kim White for organizing this event. The monetary prizes are available from the 50/50 Lottery Account. Do attend in uniform if possible. Meet at the school by 9:00 a.m. The Public Speaking Judges are community members.
Darts and Darts: Be a dart player on Mondays and Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. Have fun while playing darts and meeting either legion or community members.
Euchre: Friday evenings at 7:30 p.m. A light lunch is served. If you can volunteer to make a lunch for a Friday Night Euchre, call Anne Aubin, Ladies Auxiliary Sports Officer at 519‑793‑3472. The light lunch consists of two loaves of sandwiches and a dessert of cookies or squares or cake.
You do not have to be a Legion member to play darts or euchre at the Legion.

January 50/50 Winner: Gail Brinkman       Amount: $35.00

Monthly Draw 50/50 Lottery tickets are available at the Legion, Marydale’s Restaurant, Brad’s By the Bay and from Legion members. The February draw will take place at the General Meeting on February 1, 2018. Buy a 50/50 ticket to support your community.
