Let’s support our Legion!
Nominations and elections of the Legion Executive will be held at the next General Meeting on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The Legion needs more members to help with an executive position.

Positions for nominations and elections are President, 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and four positions on the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee will be appointed to committees needed to help with the Legion business.

Ladies Auxiliary nominations and elections will take place on Aril 10, 2018. Pot Luck at 12:00 p.m. Regular meeting with nominations and elections is at 1:30 p.m.

The newly elected Branch and Ladies Auxiliary Executives become effective on June 1, 2018. Installation of Officers for the Branch and the Ladies Auxiliary will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. You are invited to attend. Social is at 6:00 p.m., pot luck dinner is at 7:00 p.m. and installations of officers are after dinner.

• Dinner and Dance to support the Tobermory Legion – Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Tobermory Community Centre – tickets are $45.00 each – Prime Rib Dinner and Dance with live band.
• Joint Branch and Ladies Auxiliary Executive Meeting - Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. All current executive members are encouraged to attend.
• The Ladies Auxiliary will be making their popular meat pies on May 1, 2018. Meat pies must be ordered by Tuesday, April 24, 2018. There are turkey, beef and hamburger pies for $4.00 each.
• Call Jean Shearer at 519-793-3014 or Mo Ready at 519-793-3506 to order meat pies.
• Euchre is on Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.
• Darts are at 1:00 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays to the end of the month only.
• Cribbage and cards are played on Thursdays beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Have you purchased your Legion Accessibility Lottery ticket for $5.00? This lottery will be drawn on December 6, 2018. First prize is $1,000.00 and second prize is $500.00. This is the second Legion Accessibility Lottery to raise enough funds to make the Legion wheelchair accessible as well as an accessible washroom. The Ontario Government has a mandate to have all buildings that have the public visit be accessible by 2020. Call Don Colter at 519-793-3473 or Fred Van Tooren at 519-795-7823 to buy a ticket or to offer to help sell some tickets.
