A special thank you to the outgoing and the incoming Legion Branch and Ladies Auxiliary Executive Members for their dedication and commitment to the Lion’s Head Legion. Join the above executive members on Tuesday, May 15th for Installation of Officers by the Legion and Ladies Auxiliary Zone C-4 Commanders and Deputy Zone C-4 Commanders. Social begins at 6:00 p.m. and Pot luck dinner at 7:00 p.m.

Other News and Updates:
  • Legion Branch Yard Sale – date in June will be on the same day as the Yard Sale Trail in Northern Bruce Peninsula to be announced.
  • The Legion cannot accept appliances, computer equipment, mattresses or old retired items for this yard sale, unless they are brand new.
  • Plan to drop your items off at the Legion on the day before the yard sale.
  • Arrangements for a pick-up of a donation can be made. The articles for pick up for the Yard Sale MUST BE NEW OR NEARLY NEW.
  • Please be considerate in bringing your items to the Legion. Assess your donations carefully as new or gently used. This consideration will help greatly with the sales and the cleanup at the end of the day.
  • The Yard Sale will start at 8:00 a.m. and finish at 1:00 p.m.
  • Remember that you may just find that treasure!
  • Fred and Jean Van Tooren are convening the Yard Sale. Volunteer help will be appreciated. Call Fred at 519- 795-7823.
Announcements:
  1. Pick up your ordered meat pies on May 1, 2018 after 2:30 p.m. at the Legion.
  2. Darts end on April 30, 2018 and begin again in October.
  3. Ladies Fun Night will be held on Thursday May 17th at 7:00 p.m.
  4. Friday night euchres continue until the end of June and begin again in September. Volunteers are needed to help make a lunch for euchre or to help at the door.
  5. Country Roast Beef Dinner – Wednesday, July 4, 2018 – 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  6. Legion Fish Fry – Wednesday August 1, 2018 - 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m.
Plan to volunteer to help and/or attend these events to support your Legion. Invite a friend or family member to join the Legion. New members welcomed.

Have you bought your special wheelchair accessible fundraiser lottery ticket for $5.00 each? Call Fred Van Tooren at 519-795-7823 or Don Colter at 519-793-3473 to purchase or help sell the tickets. You could be the winner of $1,000.00 or $500.00 on December 4, 2018.
