Branch Yard Sale: Thank you for making the yard sale a success. Thank you goes to Fred and Jean Van Tooren and Richard Smith for their help.

The Annual Country Roast Beef Dinner held on Wednesday July 3rd was well attended. The weather co-operated in order to sit outside under the tent. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped organize the dinner, cook and serve the food, bake the desserts and clean up afterwards. There were over 200 meals served. A Roast Beef Dinner could not be possible without everyone 2/2 participating.

Lottery Draw for July - Amount won: $63.00 Won by: Mary Sager
A new six month license has been approved. Remember to buy or help sell a book of Lottery Tickets. The funds raised are given back to the community.

What can members of the Legion Branch and the Ladies Auxiliary do to strengthen their community and Legion Branch working together?
  1. Let your executive members know if you have any suggestions or questions about the work of the Legion in your community.
  2. Plan to attend membership meetings to support the work of the Legion and to fulfill the mandate of membership which is to support the veterans and their families, to participate in the Poppy Campaign, to assist in your community as needed and to promote and support youth programs.
  3. Continue to volunteer and help when special dinners and community events are planned at the Legion.
  4. Invite a family member, neighbour or friend to join the Legion Branch and/or the Ladies Auxiliary. New members are always welcomed. Many hands make light work.
  5. Let the Legion Executive members know if there is an activity that you would like to have hosted at the Legion.
Hope to see you on Thursday August 1st at 2:00 p.m. We need more members attending meetings to take part in the discussions and the planning for the future.
